Archbishop Bernard Moras Inaugurates Christian Think Tank in Bangalore
Bengaluru: Dr Bernard Moras, Archbishop of Bangalore and President of Karnataka Catholic Bishop’s Council, along with Bishop Peter Machado, in the presence of eleven Bishops of Karnataka, inaugurated the Christian Think Tank, by lighting the lamp; on the 15th of Sept. 2017, at 10:00 am at Palana Bhavan. About 120 persons from all walks of life and spread all over Karnataka attended the Think Tank conference. Persons from Religion, education, politics, Health Services, businessmen, builders, lawyers, accountants, were present. This is a glorious moment in the history of Karnataka, to have a team to think positively towards greater thinking, development and progress, indeed the new chapter in the annals of the Christian community is opened.
Christian Think Tank is an organization planned to face the present day challenge we face from the religious, cultural, social, educational and political front. We need today Thinkers who will place on one table various ideas and measures to build a better future.
Dr Bernard Moras said that we as Christians have a great role to play in building the nation. We are only 2.1% Christians in India. But we play a great role in the development and can do marvels in the near future. He spoke of the Holy Father Francis who through his simplicity but greater leadership has led the world to greater heights. We in Karnataka can imitate him and prepare our people for the future. Bishops Peter Machado introduced all the member present and explained how we can do much through Christian Think Tank.
