BJP to release ‘charge sheet’ against Siddaramaiah govt.

Bengaluru, (DHNS): The principal Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party is set to come out with a “charge sheet” against the Congress government led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah listing its alleged corruption, deterioration of law and order and maladministration.

Disclosing this to reporters here on Tuesday, BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa said: “The party is in the process of collecting and collating instances of corruption in various departments as well as the government’s alleged collusion with the land mafia to prepare the charge sheet.”

He said the charge sheet, which would be prepared meticulously, would expose the alleged collapse of governance with precise instances and also deteriorating law and order situation, including the murder of RSS workers. After preparing the charge sheet, efforts would be made to take it in the form of pamphlets to every household in the State through party workers, he said.

Mahadayi dispute

He reiterated that a BJP delegation from Karnataka will shortly call on the Chief Ministers of Maharashtra and Goa to persuade them to arrive at an amicable solution to resolve the Mahadayi row.

“But at the same time, I want our Chief Minister to convince his party leaders who are in the Opposition in those two States to co-operate,” Mr. Yeddyurappa said.

Meanwhile, Mr. Siddaramaiah hit back at Mr. Yeddyurappa by describing his lunch with the Dalits at his residence in Bengaluru on Monday as a “political gimmick” in view of the forthcoming Assembly elections. Asked about the challenge thrown at him and other Congress leaders by Mr. Yeddyurappa to invite and have food with the Dalits, the Chief Minister remarked that they routinely eat with them.
