Ever since the BJP government has come to power, we have been the most neglected state in the country. Just because the people of Karnataka have chosen the Congress party to power, the prime minister and his cabinet of ministers have simply neglected the state. While the chief minister has come to the rescue of more than 2,227,506 farmers in the state, why can’t the central government come off and do their bit?” he questioned.
Mohammed Haris Nalapad, the General Secy of Youth Congress Bangalore said, “This march should serve as an eye opener. Our motive is not to create chaos and shout defaming slogans. We are here to demand what our farmers deserve, but in a peaceful way.
Today we demonstrate Gandhigiri and hope that Mr PM gets well soon so that he is able to see the plight of our farmers and waive off their loans”.
“It is high time that the Prime Minister and his followers stop shedding crocodile tears and start acting. This ‘Acche Din’ promised seems to be helping the rich friends of the prime minister and not the poor farmers”, He added.
